Biography: A traveling bard from another land, Maerd traveled across the terra firma, singing songs of myth and legend of times of old before happening upon Serarp, in the Autumn Kingdom. It was love at first sight for her and after a time, she was able to sort out paper work and earn a place there. Originally born from a merchant family of five, Maerd was an adventurous young girl with a strong love for the arts, she wanted to travel to other lands to “broaden her horizons” as her father put it. Her mother objected the idea, saying that as a lady, Maerd had to be proper and marry a suitable man and to “stop being a foolish child”. After some persuasion by both Maerd and her husband, she allowed Maerd to go saying that should she get into trouble of any kind she should not “be afraid to punishment the impudent whelps for their actions. You are my daughter and therefore you should make sure that any punishment you give out is quick and painful. Oh, but don’t let them mutter a single noise or that’ll be a huge turn off~”.

Personality: Always seen with a smile on her face, Maerd has a frightening temper behind it when annoyed, a trait she inherited from her mother who was depicted as a “frightening, shrewd mother with moral intent”. She likes to tease people when she socializes. She’s not much of a fighter but can wield a bow and arrow nicely.

Extra Facts:

She is never seen without her harp.

As a bard, she knows how to play other instruments but the harp is her favorite.

When even she sings, she sings with a Celtic ballad.

Backwards, her name spells “Dream”.

She usually ends her sentences with a “teehee~” or just “~”

She was based off of KOEI’s Dynasty Warriors Cai Wenji.

She’s a rather poor hunter because she hates hurting animals and because of this, she eats berries and other fruits.

She’ll sing to whoever wants to hear a story but she’ll just play a song if no one wants one.
